IEPL Environment policy and our various practices to protect the environment

Indorama Eleme Petrochemical Limited (IEPL) gives high priority to Health, Safety and Environment issues, and has established a robust Environment Management system based on company policies, international standards and statutory requirement of Nigeria.

IEPL believes in curtailing the generation of pollutants to eliminate and minimize end treatments. It is the goal of every employee to avoid or minimize adverse impact and maximize beneficial impacts upon the surroundings and preserve the environment to the best possible extent.

IEPL already has included various design measures to reduce generation of pollutants. The Environmental Management in IEPL is based on the concept of “3R” (Reduce, Re-use & Recycle) thus most of the processes are designed to achieve this objective.

IEPL lays great emphasis on good HSE practices. As a part of commitment to managing a successful Petrochemical business, Company’s philosophy encourages participatory actions and involvement of stakeholders in solving problems. Interface with regulatory bodies helps the Company to keep pace. IEPL adheres to the regulatory requirements and standards of the Local, State and Federal governments of Nigeria.

• Proper treatment of all waste to comply all statutory norms.
• Monitoring and control of all emissions as per applicable standards.
