Indorama’s PPP Business Model Excites Singapore’s High Commission (March 13th, 2014)

The public private partnership (PPP) business model put in place by Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals Limited (IEPL) where strategic stakeholders are made equity holders with shared responsibilities and shared prosperity in the company has excited Singapore’s High Commission in Nigeria.

His Excellency, ShabbirHassanbhai, the High Commissioner of Singapore in Nigeria who led a team from the foreign ministry on a visit to the complex of IEPL on March 13, 2013, said the PPP model is unique and capable of truly growing any organisation in a peaceful manner.

He said such business culture is worthy of emulation by other organisations if Nigeria is to grow economically and socially.

He said the High Commission has commenced a study of Indorama’s application of the PPP business model in Nigeria so that other businesses and investors can learn from its success.

The High Commissioner also commended Indorama’s subsidiary company in Singapore for being among five companies that supported the establishment of the Centre for African Studies (CAS) by the Singapore Business Federation and their partners.
