The NDLEA boss said hard drugs such as narcotics, cocaine, cannabis among others, are very destructive and have the capacity to ruin lives and destroy future prospects of youths. According to her, the rate of drug abuse in the state is alarming, especially among the young people who are ignorant of the negative impact on their health and the society at large.

She requested for collaboration with IEPL to educate its workforce on the dangers of drug abuse. “There is need to educate and enlighten all workers on the dangers of drug abuse. Drug abuse is a destructive habit. Immediately a worker begins to use hard drugs, it will definitely affect his physical well-being and his overall productive capacity”.

Mrs. Shelleng said the visit to Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals was also meant to afford her team the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the operations of the company, and see for themselves the phenomenal achievements which they usually read and hear about the company.
